We’re excited to share that in honor of Earth Day 2024, we’ve partnered with werecyclesolar.com to accelerate the transition to solar and promote responsible end-of-life management. During the month of April, We Recycle Solar will donate 1 Panel to the Renewables Fund for every 10 modules recycled through its facilities.
We’re thrilled about this new partnership as every 10 panels recycled through We Recycle Solar will dramatically reduce greenhouse gases (CO2) equivalent to:
– 299 pounds of burned coal
– 684 miles driven by a gas car
– 32,445 charging smartphones

Energy needs in the Global South are skyrocketing and their power grids are more carbon heavy. If we don't act fast, emissions will just keep climbing. Sadly, the lack of funding for solar development is a large barrier for new solar projects in these regions.
At Renewables.org, we’ve teamed up with Global South solar developers, who, thanks to the investments from partners like We Recycle Solar, are making a big impact with new solar projects. When you invest, your money goes into the Renewables Fund, which our partners use to build solar in the places where it will do the most good. When those solar projects start generating and selling electricity, the Renewables Fund pays you back. You can either withdraw your payments or choose to reinvest them. As our community grows, we’ll be able to speed up the deployment of solar power where it’s needed most.
